Guest guest
I take 3 mg. of melatonin, it's the only thing that works (that I can get ahold of--doctor won't prescribe anything). The only side effect from any of the antidepressants i've had is (lack of sex drive--completely gone), and weight gain, sugar cravings. My doctor won't even prescribe NSAIDs for me anymore, as my stomach is ruined from them....i'm in pain 24/7, the doctor won't do a thing about it, i've been to doctor after doctor, even when I broke my ankle, the doctor told me to take ibuprofen--this was about 5 doctors ago. I have been through every doctor in the county, and I stay with one doctor for about a year, before donating my money to a different doctor.....the last doctor (a neurologist) charged me $350 to tell me he wouldn't treat me until I saw a psychiatrist (as FMS is caused by depression), well, I figure since he won't treat me, then I won't pay him...hehehe.....at least not until i'm good and ready -2 kmnewberry@... _________________________________________________________________ MSN Photos is the easiest way to share and print your photos: http://photos.msn.com/support/worldwide.aspx
Guest guest
> until I saw a > psychiatrist (as FMS is caused by depression) I had a neurologist tell me the same thing. That's B*** S***. Except for some female problems, that were after I had kids, I had a perfectly good life before being diagnosed with FM. My depression at this time is because I can't do the things I used to do. I raised 2 kids on my own, no help from their father, ran a small business, then worked full time when they were both in school. I even did sewing when I worked full time, to make extra money. I think any doctor that says that is so uninformed about FM and CFS, they don't want to be bothered. Because it doesn't show up on Lab tests, they don't know how to deal with it, so they just as soon not deal with it. You should have heard my sister and mother last week tell me how I got FMS... Sigh... Sorry, I had to vent! Koala-t hugs, Cathy

That's B*** S***. AMEN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i REALLY GO OFF ON THIS ONE. I even sent a very matter of fact email to a Doc on line ( who published an article) that leaned toward - Depression - then FM - and told him just what I thought about it. Surpising - he responded and apologized !!!!!! snip - snip >I had a perfectly > good life before being diagnosed with FM. I think they are unwilling to admit there is something they don't know!!!!!!!!!!!!! snip-snip > You should have heard my sister and mother last week tell me how I got > FMS...
