TO HEATHER/ BLOOD PRESSURE MEDS.

Hi ,

just a quick note about MY problems with blood pressure medications. I am severly allergic to all thiazide Diuretics...break out in a terrible rash and can't breathe....I have tried Accupril, & Accuretic to the same tune. I am currently on Norvasc 5mg. .....I was taking 10 mgs. but the doctor now thinks some of my rashes were caused by the Norvasc...so had me cut down to half the dose...

I just had another visit with my PCP for a raging rash trying to eat me alive .....He took me off Carb/Levo CR....that he had prescribed for me at my last visit for "Restless Leg Syndrome" !.....It works wonderfully for Restless legs ....but seems I'm allergic to it .sigh.....What's a poor Lupie to do?

My doctor has put me on Norvasc. It has helped but lately every once in awhile I get a really bad flare up. The other day at one of my many doctor appointments my feet went completely numb and were so purple and my toes were dark blue. I was holding them in my hands trying to warm them up as best as i could. I had my wool gloves on and my hands started to go numb too. If I had a place to run them under warm water I would of but when I do that my hands and feet burn so bad that they feel like they are on fire. Since I've started this new one, which is only 5mg, my hands are always kinda bright red and my mom asks me are you flaring up? I was put on another one before this, Afeditab, generic for Adalat whic was 60mg, and I broke out in a bad rash and felt like everything on me and in me was on fire. Is it normal
