Guest guest
My fatigue gets bad after I eat a meal. I have started drinking water with caffiene in it. Aquafina Alive Energize orange-lime flavor. It helps keep me awake when I work 16 hour shifts at the hospital. Sent from my iPhone I usually a really up beat person and get stay positive through anything even when I had really intense itching and would scratch until I made myself bleed but for the past few months my fatigue has been so bad I have hardly any energy to do anything my whole body feels soooo heavy yet I am losing loads of weight so my body shouldn't feel that heavy.I can't eat very much as it hurts way to much and I have been told that its down to me being riddled with stones inside and that they want to open me up re move all stones and re move my gall bladder as well so I am waiting to have that done but surely that wouldn't cause my fatigue to get worse and for my body to feel heavy???. Haven't had any bloods done for a few months now so don't know how things are on the liver side.I going to my gp tomorrow as its really starting to get me down now and I am finding it so much harder to look after my two boys so wish me luck. Guest guest
I could work the 16 hour shifts without a problem at one time – even worked a 48 hour shift once when we had computer issues – all of this after being diagnosed with PSC and UC. Fatigue never bothered me at all until I was diagnosed with gall stones in June 2007. I had severe fatigue until I had my transplant in October. -Joy you describe it well. I remember working in the yard the day before Labor Day and did not think I would be able to put one foot in front of the other. The gall stones may not cause the fatigue, but it will certainly contribute to it. If a stone is blocking the flow of bile in anyway, then the increased biliruben will cause fatigue. Also, any of the liver enzymes, when they are too high, can cause fatigue. My GI told me to call him whenever I started having fatigue. I asked him how I would know that it was fatigue and not just being tired. He assured me that I would know – that it was not like any tired I had ever experienced. He was right. I hope that your doc ordered Labs. Guest guest
Do you know what he tested for, becaue if he di not test your live function levels, vitamin levels, and a few other things everything might come back okay. Have you spoken to your hepatologist? Guest guest
I am not sure what all of these test are. Are you in the US or another COuntry. If in the US LFT would most like be Liver Fuunction ESR - if I remember correctly has something to do with inflamation THT - might be thyroid function, though I have never heard of it called that, but testing thyroid would make sense for fatigue The others I am not familiar with, Sorry Dawn > > got blood card here so I try and read what it says to test for > > fbc > esr > haemotemies {or something like that really can't read his writing } > u+g > lft+ggt > tft > crp > bone profile > > is that any help? >
Guest guest
Hi -Joy If you were being lazy you would not have even bothered to go and see a doctor, you would be lying on the couch in your dressing gown!!! I too hope your blood tests can show something up. Its your winter at the moment, I know I feel a lot more tired in the winter than summer, could this be the same for you? Best wishes from the bottom of the world in New Zealand > > Wow! I must have missed something here....if I am > reading what I think I am reading....a doctor told > someone that they were lazy????
