I look forward to being a part of the group Married for 32 years, 3 daughters, 8 grandchildren and one little dog named Abby who weighs 3.6 lbs and is our spoiled little baby. Work every day and love my job, but some days I can hardly make it through a day. I used to think it was just my age catching up with me, but know now it is just how it is a part of the chronic illness. Joy Age range: 57 Male/female: female What are the symptoms? joint pain, stiffness, headaches, dry eyes, vision problems, tiredness Has you illness been diagnosed? Yes as fibromyalgia, RA, CFS How long did you suffer before you got help? Man years Is there a time that you can remember when it started? No Some of us have found lack of exercise we are overweight. Have you found this to be a problem also? I work everyday at my job, by the time I get home all I want to do is fall into bed. Are you on disability? No If you are any pointers for others trying to get on disability? No What have you found that helps ease the pain, warm baths, medications etc.? Warm baths Do you have sleep problems? How do you deal with it? Yes, the doctor put me on trazadone Do you have family that understands your illness? No, if I mention being tired I always hear well I am tired too. Some have found certain foods causes problems with CFS or Fibro, have you? I dont' know, I guess I never associated the pain with food. What type of Doctor have you found that has helped you the most? The doctor I have now will not give me pain meds. She gave me vioxx but after hearing all the things about it I stopped taking it, it did seem to help but was tearing my stomach up, as I have at one time had an ulcer.
