Kathy, I just bought that to give to my husband on cloudy days (Cod Liver oil has Vitamin D--he will use regular fish oil when he's out in the sun) and haven't opened the bottles yet. Is there a strong " fish " order and taste? Or are you on capsules? We chose to buy the oil since it would take quite a few capsules to get the benefit of straight oil.........but...........LOL......I haven't opened the bottle yet because of the odor....... Guest guest
Hi Janie, I have the pills, but couldn't NOT swallow them. I'm a big baby about swallowing pills! LOL So, I have the oil. No taste at all. I don't like the " feel " of the oil going down, but I immediately swallow water with it. It's not bad, and much better then trying to get a horse size pill down! LOL Kathy Kathy and your Cod Liver Oil intake >I also take Nordic Naturals Artic Cod Liver Oil which is a pharmaceutical grade. Guest guest
Really!! No taste??? That's a huge relief. LOL. We have always put Flax Seed Oil (which will soon be Fish Oil) into our morning yogurt, which consists of plain yogurt, Stevia, strawberries or other fruits, sliced almonds or pecans, vanilla. Flax Seed Oil has SUBSTANTIALLY lowered my husband's high cholesterol and tri's--amazing. There are probably MANY other benefits that we haven't been aware of. Doing the oil is better anyway that doing the caps--you'd have to swallow a LOT of capsules to get the same effect as the oil. Janie > > I have the pills, but couldn't NOT swallow them. Guest guest
FWIW, Carlson's makes a very high quality cod liver oil with a lemon flavour to it - it tastes great. > > Really!! No taste??? Guest guest
You know, I just realized that it's Carlson's that I do have. I had considered the Nordic, but chose the Carlson's. My husband hates lemon--can you believe it?? I got it anyway. LOL. Now if Carlson's was SMART, they would make it in a CHOCOLATE FLAVOR!!!!! Janie > FWIW, Carlson's makes a very high quality cod liver oil with a lemon > flavour to it - it tastes great. >
Guest guest
Mine is orange flavored, but I can't even taste the orange. I don't taste a thing! :-)) Wish all my meds were like this! Guest guest
Well, this morning, I put Cod Liver Oil in my yogurt mixture..and in my husband's. He was fine with it. Me.......UGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. I made a whole new bowl, and put my Flax Seed Oil back into it. Ah well. Janie > LOL chocolate flavoured cod liver oil... everyone'd be oding on vit > A and D! > > >
Guest guest
I think it is best to just put it in a spoon and get it over with. I would not want to mess up the taste of my food, as I don't get to eat that much as it is!! LOL Personally, I don't like the taste of Flax Seed Oil. :-(( Kathy Re: Kathy and your Cod Liver Oil intake Well, this morning, I put Cod Liver Oil in my yogurt mixture..and in my husband's.
