Guest guest
I live in MI and cannot find a doctor-and the co-cure list had ONE that was about 3 hours one way drive from me (do-able IF he is good), but my insurance wasn't excepted! I BEGGED the receptionist to let me self pay - she said it's about $600 (I have donated more than that to my crappy doctor in the past year anyway). So, i'm waiting to call back for a new appt. when the receptionist doesn't remember me... as the receptionist kept saying 'I have knowledge of your insurance, so I cannot help you'. I also cannot bring myself to go see a doctor. My last one offered me antidepressants (for dealing with humiliating, depressing doctors like herself), NSAIDs (to ruin my stomach, so she'd have something she COULD enjoy treating, I think) whenever i've eaten at red lobster, I get the feeling that my lungs are filling up with fluid. My husband eats the rice bowl thingys, I tried one and it was so darn spicy hot!! I picked the vegetables and shrimp out. I can't eat that sort of thing anymore (without paying for it for days). kmnewberry@... _________________________________________________________________ Chat with friends online, try MSN Messenger: http://messenger.msn.com

When your body tells your brain that you are in constant pain your brain eats up the seritonin that is already in your brain. Seritonin is one of the chemicals that helps to keep you happy )~ If your brain is getting that constant signal like we fibro's send...then that means that our brain has no seritonin to do its many other duties that special little chemical does. So therefore going on the anti-depressant helps keep the seritonin level up in the punkin which helps keep you less depressed and it also helps with alot of other things, but like I said this is just coming from what has worked for me. I am on Effexor XR 350 mg. Hopes this helps. Hugzzz Allicia

I BEGGED the receptionist to let me self pay - Good luck, ...I share your anxiety over this issue. I am so repulsed over it after repeated episodes of doctor searching every time my husband's insurance coverage changes, and this has been going on repeatedly for 15 years of illness...UGH!! I'm tired of being dictated to by these stinking ins. companies who would rather we (A) Be 100% well and pay our premiums like good little money-making clients, or ( Get terminally ill and die quickly and as less expensively as possible. Gee, sorry--NO CAN DO. I was hoping that congress was finally going to address this escalating issue but with first the Clinton scandal and now the terrorism issue, there is no way it is going to get front-burner attention, so this will just be allowed to get worse. Scary thought! Ok, I'll stop ranting now.
