Guest guest
> Any men here No...I'm not a man but I do know that FMS affects men as well as women. I'm convinced that it can be even more difficult for a man to have it since men have so many power struggles with each other. I have heard many FMS male suffers say that it is the hardest on their image as a man. It is such a debilitating disease and it is not prejudice to any gender. The webmaster of fibrohugs.com is a man. Good luck and perservere.

Guest guest
Sometimes, it feels like bubbling or flutteringin the chest, but other than that, nothing, they says it's too small of a leak for surgury, but, I don't think I would let them operate anyways Do men get fibro> Any men here

Guest guest
I've been " diagnosed " by 6 of 9 doctors. The others just dismiss it when they can't hear it. I, too, have the bubbling/fluttering sensation in my chest. It waxes and wanes sometimes not really bothering me for months. My doctor wanted to put me on pills way back when, but I didn't want to do that. I think it was Inderall, but I could be wrong (it's been 15 years). Guest guest
Well, I was diagnosed when I was 19, so that was a couple of years ago. The doc wanted to put me on meds to regulate it, I think. I was having alot of sharp pains at that time. I've been reading about it today (after DH mentioned it as part of his diagnosis). It's not really a fibro thing, rather it's the other way around. Having MVP can bring on fibro and CFS-in my limited way of explaining things. Or maybe it's having MVP makes you pre-dispositioned to have fibro or CFS. Instead of being called MVP (Mitral Valve Prolapse) it's called MVPS (Mitral Valve Prolapse Syndrome). Very interesting. Guest guest
I don't think it has anything to do with fibro.
