Guest guest
--- In NaturalThyroidHormones , " Mateosian " Antinuclear Antibodies 1:80 ref <1:80 negative / >1:80 positive > suggestive of SLE, MCTD, Scleroderma Polymyisutus/ Scleroderma Overlap, PSS w/Crest syndrome variable > GLIADIN Ab.SIgA 13 borderline ref borderline 13-15 > [Winona, could this also be from existing MS?] , The ANA test shows you to be borderine positive - but with no specific autoantibody indentified in this report. You also have a borderline positive anti-gliadin result. We find that 20-25% of MS patients have positive ANA results - some with specific antibodies - some non-specific. Autoantibodies do tend to occur in MS patients, however, it is not certain if there is a cause-effect relationship - or just a co-existance. If you or the doctor is concerned about knowing the spedificity of the ANA test, you should have it done at a lab specializing in testing for autoimmune diseases - if you live in major city with a good research university, there may be a good research/clinical lab that will perform leading edge testing for autoantibodies. This particular lab just did a very crude screening. Winona

Guest guest
Not exactly for me, not like seasonal sneezing allergies, antihistamines are good for lots of inflammation kinds of responses and since I have low grade chronic infections at least one viral (EBV) and one bacterial (Helicobacter pylori), and probably Lyme, the histamine response can make me feel uncomfortable, puffy, sleepless. So I just self-doctor. The part of the adrenal discussion that said antihistamines might help made me nod. The doc was impressed with the improvisation of slathering on the hydrocortisone to keep myself OK after Big L had declined to help and was just stringing me along. Kerry, your sweet post really touched me. Guess I'll have to bring chocolate when we go North in a couple months, huh? Maybe white chocolate so you don't get fingerprints on your GORGEOUS wedding dress!? .... Re: Toth, today!! Real Armour!! what are you taking the Benadryl for ? Allergies? Kerry ******* I am so happy that you have finally gotten the validation you needed! I think that the stress relief that comes from that alone is tremendous. It sounds like you are in good hands. Glad to lend a bit of advice when I can. Your question was just right along my area of experience. I spent 5 years doing clinical chemistry, 17 years doing research in autoimmune disorders and testing new plus previously known autoantibodies, then did 5 years with diabetes team, and now for the past 3 years have been doing MS research. I guess we can send virtual chocolate. They were good Thanks. Winona

Guest guest
That didn't sound right without the right tone of voice! - I can't think of anything I'd rather look forward to, is more like it, Kerry! I think it'd be a hoot! Maybe our two sweet 11 y/o's could meet...We'll have to crank up the old Verizons! I'm falling asleep at the computer - bad girl, need rest to recover... Been sitting here half-dreaming of an Thyroid underground like the Underground Railroad only for thyroid folks. We could get the one's who need to touch bases with a good doc to come stay near, or with, us and we could set 'em up with a sweet doc, like Dr Toth and his wife Jerri, to get the right tests ordered and then they could get Armour. Ok, today is like Armour-Christmas cause I'm so relieved to get help I just can't settle down but I'm done babbling. .... Re: Toth, today!! Real Armour!! Guest guest
I had been taking benydrl and melatonin at night for better sleep. It was recommended by my fibro dr. Since I started my Armour I sleep better and dream more. My constipation is better. And I've had NO migraines (can you tell how much that thrills me). My temp is starting to rise. I can't tell you how hopeful I am. Kate Re: Toth, today!! Real Armour!! In a message dated 3/11/2005 9:46:20 PM Eastern Standard Time, Cjoi@... writes: > and antithistamines (Gawd! I love validation!
