Guest guest
wow kerry gal. you have enough on you to make you feel like crap. financial stress is the pits for sure. and I'd freak too if I found an enlarged lymph node - my dad also had non-hodgins lymphoma cancer (but died from heart failure). and painting? you had energy to paint? or did you? maybe you should not have been doing it. so says big sis. i think too...when we get hypo...and we start to heal...that we have to be really careful to not injure the stuff that is healing. so you've had a lot going on...and no wonder you feel like crap. and an inflammed vein in ones breast would panic the best of us. now - on that high cortisol. i had elevated cortisol too, kerry girl. (might still have it) and i think it's a tricky situation for us hypos. the elevated cortisol can some from any kind of stress - emotional, physical, mental.... BUT...I think taking adrenal support is a tricky thing when you're putting out EXCESS cortisol....taking adrenal support for me initially made me feel better but then seemed to backfair. And I couldn't tolerate the Isocort at all...made me right jumpy and anxious. I figured my adrenals didn't know that they were getting support..and so i was just overloading my system perhaps. think about that. we might be the folks who need to let our adrenals heal by healing the thyroid and eliminating stress as much as possible. (yes - i know that's impossible). There is also a supplement to lower cortisol...that might be a better op tion...or you might want to just not treat that...see if it settles itself. i was having the insomia at night...and it just eventually got better. Just some things to think about kerry.... and sometimes when it all goes wrong..ya gotta go back to the point where you were okay...and start again....slowly...with no variables. I've found that we hypos can change to much (add a vitamin, add a 1/4 grain, add another supplement, add adrenal support) and then it all goes bad and we can't figure out what did what. hang in there gal...I've gone thru my ups and downs over the last year....it can be tough. cindi
