I don't know if it's common in Fibro patients, but I've had pleurisy before, several times, and it's one of the symptoms of Lupus. Take care. Now is this something you get tested for once and that's it or should you get tested every couple years? Just curious. Thanks. Guest guest
Have you been diagnosed by a doctor with pleurisy? Costochondritis can be a symptom of fibro (basically rib pain-- hurts when you breath, very tender to touch). > I am wondering if pleurisy (pain/inflammation in lungs) can be a > symptom of fibro? > Thanks! Guest guest
I was diagnosed with pleurisy and fluid around my heart last fall. At the time I had not been diagnosed with FMS. My chest problems continued for several months after that. I really think I was in the grips of a " flare " and the doctors didn't know what they were dealing with. I have, over the years, had pleurisy several times, but just blew it off. Sounds like it is worth exploring though. I think I will ask my rheumy next time I see him. Guest guest
I am wondering if pleurisy (pain/inflammation in lungs) can be a symptom of fibro? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I don't know that it's a symptom. But I do know that having FMS makes you suseptible to getting Pleurisy. I've had it, hurts like H*ll!

Guest guest
, I've noticed that when I'm having a bad time with my fibro, I also develop pleurisy. I know that if the pleurisy flares up, I'm going to be very sick within a few days and visa versa. Toni dovebuddy@... http://dovebuddycreations.surfhoo.com Re: fibro and pleurisy?
