Hi Patsy

Don't go to just any Podiatrist. Go to a major hospital or a good

orthopedic surgeon and ask them or him/her to recommend a good foot surgeon,

one who just does feet.

In my case it was an orthopedic surgeon who said I need to have something

done, but he admitted that he could not do it. So he recommended two

excellent surgeons and one was a Podiatrist. I was 62 when I had my surgery

and I would go again in a heart beat if needed, but that was my choice. Each

to is own. I truly hope you find the best way for you,

E

Hi E,

Thanks for answering. I have been to 2 Podiatrists, but neither one did

anything for me. I went to the first one for callouses removed, but he

didn't say anything about having orthotics molded for my feet. went to

him i think 3 times. I am 61, so don't want to go the ankle fusion

route. Thanks again

Patsy

Patsy, , all

I found my podiatrist through my orthopedic. They practice together and I

would trust either of them. They have both helped me. A lot of orthopedic

docs won't do the feet anymore, at least where I live. They send patients to

podiatrist. There are excellent doctors out there, make phone calls, ask

people you know. Research hospitals, like others have said, are excellent

resources.

Dear Kate,

It is better to be honest with prospective employers, even though it is

difficult. One reason I got one of the two jobs that I held was because I

knew someone who already worked there and she put in a good word for me.

And my other job the application didn't have a medical section that I

remember, or I just passed over it on accident and didn't fill it out. Good

luck on your search and I hope you find a good job for this summer.

- Lastly, i was wondering how others go about job applications and filling

in the medical information section. Ive applied for a few summer jobs

before university and on the appliccation forms i havent told them about the

stills for the reason that i know there will be other people applying and

they might use this to discriminate. I know i should tell them, but what do

you think about this? Is it ok? (this is my guilty mind speaking!) The

thing is i have seen how people can be discriminated against because of

illness and im so desperate to get a summer job.

, Sites that show an increase in Theta under task are sites to train

with HEG.

Subject: Re: [ ] Digest Number 708

Is it really necessary that people mock treatments that other people find

effective?

Not kind. Not respectful and not helpful.

I'm not sure what " Digest Number 708 " is, but I'm glad some are addressing this

issue. I stopped writing for a while because my experiences kept being bashed

and everytime I wrote I dreaded reading new posts thinking I was going to be

invalidated again. It really hurt because I was just trying to share what had

worked for me and my daughter. Some of you are much better at being succint than

I. Thank you.
