Yes I actually did something very stupid! Thinking I was going to eat healthy

and lose weight, which by the way I did.....I was eating nothing but salads,

raw veggies, chicken , fruit and basically that was about all.....Did this

for months not knowing that it is the worst foods you can eat when you have

IBS.I had such stomach problems....the doctor told me absolutely no salads,

or raw veggies...He also told me no coffee....He said it's like swallowing

razor blades and he is absolutely right.....I have never had such pain in my

life....You could hear my stomach in another room....The best foods are

grains, cooked veggies, no tomatoes ...hope this is of help to others that

think they are doing themselfs a favor thinking they are eating healthy.....

I've been reading the posts regarding the vegan thing. If I eat too many

fruits/veggies it aggravates my IBS. Does this happen to anyone else?

I just try to eat a well-balanced diet and stay away from too much of anything,

but especially salt/sugar. Stay well-hydrated, that seems to help me.

, yes, in my famil;y fruits bother their IBS. But we need them.

Hydration is awfully important - my husband has had this for years and was not a

water drinker. He is doing better now because I so believe in it that I pour

the glass of water for him.

This is a tough problem, and it has interfered with my husband's comfort to the

point of not going out after a meal or if we eat out racing home. It's bad.

I think you are on the right track. Best, Janet

Hello Jackie:)

Good for you!!! I am so glad to see that you are continuing!! Woo Hoo for you!

I had never tried being a vegan before. I would of never ever thought that it

would make any difference in my life. Figured if it was going to work the docs

would of said something to me. But boy oh boy was I wrong. Now it has been 7

months since I started my vegan diet. I am still amazed at all that I can do in

the course of one day. I never thought I would be able to do high impact

excercise ever again, now I do them for 45 minutes a day. Now I am getting

ready to start jogging (have been procrastinating on that one for awhile:)) I am

still so amazed. When I started my excercise 7 months ago I literally had 0

muscle mass. Now I have muscles popping out everywhere...lol....well at least

it seems that way to me:)

I have a 9 year old boy (my youngest) who never remembered me not being

bedridden. So to watch his face as I run and play with him, fills my soul with

such joy that I feel I will explode.

I am thankful for finding Back to Eden. And, Jackie, I know that it will help

you as it did me.

Hope to talk with you soon:)

God bless you always and forever, Mick

Mick muct be doign a good job because I'm still motivated and eating a yummy

vegan diet. I've lost count of the days even though it's less that a week

now. I've gone through times of being a vegetarian in it's different forms,

so this is really fun rediscovering my old favorites and then finding some

new delights.

So far so good, I have also been doing better with my vitamins & etc. I'm

hoping to get so healthy that I can get off the Bextra which is a new nsaid

that helps me so much but I don't want to rely on it forever.

I'm feeling fine, had some of that gas you get when you up your fiber intake

(which sent DH into fits of laughter) but my body has already adjusted &

remembered it's ol friend fiber.

Jackie
