Guest guest
I've had Swiss chard all my life and it's one of my fav veggies. It's at it's best when you don't let it get too big before cutting it, and it keeps growing back and growing back. My all time favorite way is to boil it ( or steam it) and yes, use garlic---- it's wonderful with a dressing of vinegar, garlic and oil- and butter of course:) Thanks for the bear story! I've had many at my house, too. Last one was quietly enjoying the birdseed in my feeders one night while husband and I watched a video 18 feet away.... bears are unpredictable, and also can't see worth beans. They do have a super keen sense of smell and hearing, though
Guest guest
Sadly enough...I think this one was baited too many times by a few people who don't realize that they are doing more harm than good. He wanted nothing to do with my bird feeder, or a huge pile of unshelled mixed nuts that he walked past to get to the porch. He knew that there HAD to be something better!
