Oh boy! I know it is a long way but I would be on their doorstep first thing in the morning. I would raise so much hell that everyone there would know what was going on. I would really exaggerate the predisone problem (which is bad without exaggerating) and make sure everyone heard how you could die as a result of not tapering because the office did not get your script called in. I am so tired of doctors, and I do blame them because they know what the staff is doing. Let me know how you decide to handle it.

you have probably already read my Post about My pharmacist getting so mad that she started faxing the paperwork over there every hour on the hour till she gets a response .....She was finally able to get the refills for the Prednisone, and Carb/Levo today.....but as of 6:00 p.m. tonight still has not gotten any response about the Soma Pre authorization.....and was still sending Faxes.

She told me not to bother to call any more after she called and got the same treatment that I had gotten.....Voice Mail !

As for what I am going to do in the future to avoid these situations.....It scares the Crap out of me that this nurse might be in charge of my Blood Pressure Medication also......I am going to transfer as much of my medical needs to other Doctors whom I know will take care of things in a timely manner....

My Nephrologist is already prescribing my Thyroid Medication, I will have my Pharmacist call him for my Blood Pressure Medication when It is ready to be refilled.He is super sweet and either he or his Nurse Practitioner always call me back within a couple of hours.....he has saved me from a Prednisone Crash before, and since I always get the lecture about how Kidney Function and Blood Pressure go hand in hand I know he won't mind taking over on that front.

I will find a Dermatologist, even though it will cost me 4 times as much to see a specialist ......This is mostly what I see my PCP about......that is why he is in control of my Prednisone right now.

Mostly my PCP is in charge of my Pain Medicines, and the Med. for my restless legs, If I can change those Medicines to other Doctors I will. I just don't know about my New Rheumy......I was not so happy with him the ONE time I saw him.....He just wrote Scripts. for 5mg. Prednisone, and reduced my dose of Pred. to 71/2 mg. at the same time that he started me back on Plaquenil....which I told him I was allergic to.....I took 2 pills and Stopped, the rash was back ! He told me to come back in September, and for anything else see my PCP.

Those are the things I have thought about doing, in the future ......Since He DID write a Script for me to have Blood work done every month at a Labcorp....near me. I will be able to monitor my blood work myself , and if he sees anything getting out of whack will let me know in time to prevent a problem..
