Guest guest
Hi , Yesterday I finally got to see a rhem.Arth. dr. for the first time. I was so nervous, I know from reading the posts here, that a rhem dr. can make or break you, so to speak. I can't decide if I got a good one or not yet. He definitely listens to me, and lets me ask questions. But he does not always finish his sentences. Like he said, 75% of his patients have psoriasis or a family history of it.He quickly moved on to something else and it was not til later, after I left his office that I wondered what patients did he mean. RA patients, FMS, Lupus or what type of patients. He said I have osteoarthritis, but said the chronic swelling in my ankle and feet indicate something else. He did some blood work , ask about dry eyes , mentioned sjogren's syndrome.(I thought I had that last year.) He gave me a prescription for Plaquenil ( Hydroxychloroquine) I looked it up when I came home and it sounds like it may have alot of side effects. Its for inflammation ,pain relief. sjogren's and Malaria. He said it was to help my celebrex work better. Can anyone give me some feedback or personal experience about this drug? Thanks, Rose in Pa.
