,

I didn't think Fred would be excited about a stent, and rightfully so. However, I will say that although I don't enjoy ERCP's and my body contracts, constantly trying to get the thing out, it always improves my pancreas and eliminates any pain associated with it (as long as I stay on my enzymes). My doc puts one in and removes it three days later. Many times the pancreatic duct has been too small to insert a stent, that he performed a sphincterotomy instead. Either way, opening that pancreatic duct is always a relief. One I'm about to undergo again - Good Lord willing and the creeks don't rise!

Good luck to Fred and may he have all the Demoral he needs. (Pancreatitis brings grown people to their knees!)
