Guest guest
, I'm sorry to read about all of Fred's complications, I know how ugly it can all be. As far as the pancreatitis, though, I had it for about 10 years (to the best of the physicians' calculations) before they discovered it. What else they discovered is that it was caused from PSC (it attacked my bile ducts intra and extra hepatic). Post transplant I continue to have pancreatitis because giving me a new liver did change anything outside my liver. I have taken pancreatic enzymes since 1997, and the doc is scheduled to do an ERCP (if he can get in despite the roux-en-y) and see about placing stents again. This is something Fred may want to check into. Good luck with BUBBA and all the other "critters" that are crawling through Fred's abdomen. :0) (MO) Job Hunting? Guest guest
I knew you'd be the pancreatitis expert ! A title I'm sure you wish you didn't have. I brought up your thought about the stent to Fred, and he just didn't seem too excited about it. Right now all he's excited about is Demerol. However, regarding the topic of Glutathione, he IS willing to try IV Glutathione for fatigue, which is a miracle. We now have to get one of his docs to sign off on it. Hope you're doing better in the wellness dept. Mel, know you've had some challenges as of late. --
