Guest guest
Hi Chaim, Do you know if a person has to register if they don't stay in the hotel? I live about 1.5 hours from Chicago, so I don't think I will stay and most likely will only be able to attend Saturday's events. Lori A. " Aggressively Pursuing Solutions To Your Real Estate Needs! Guest guest
Hi Lori, That would be great if you could join us at the Chicago conference. To answer your question...the cost of staying at the hotel is totally separate from the registration fee. The registration fee per person just covers the cost of putting on the conference (food, meeting rooms, AV, etc.). PSC Partners does not make any money from the conference. We just cover our expenses with the registration fee. Everyone who comes, even if they attend just part of the conference, needs to pay the registration fee. You'll see that it's definitely worth it! You'll learn a lot and bond with other PSCers and caregivers. Hope to meet you in May! Ricky PSC 2003 Chicago I have booked the flight and the hotel. Guest guest
Ian - For "extra" money needed - I have not found that I had to "buy" anything additional - the food provided during the conference has always been more than enough. And unless you want to find Chicago night life - the conference takes up Friday, Sat and Sunday til noon! A savings of $100.00! Value of attending conference - "Invaluable" - meeting and talking to your email family, hearing speakers at conference and just "being there" is unbeatable! If you can figure a way to attend, it's so worth it! Guest guest
Ian and Chaim, I'm so glad to see you guys doing your best to make this years conference. It's always very special when we have more members of our international family joining the festivities. I just sent in my registration fee too. I got a pretty good price for my flight but I know how difficult it is to swing the expenses this year. I just want you and any other support member to know that the money you spend participating in this conference is sooooo well worth it. I don't know anyone that's left a previous conference feeling they didn't get their money's worth. I think everyone knows how good it feels to get a response to their query or a supporting hand via our email group. Multiply that by 100 and you'll get the feeling of meeting the people you've corresponded with, sharing face to face the the stories and battles that we all hold in common. I have made life long friends at these conferences, some of which I have visited with during travels, in state get togethers and even visits to my home. The speakers you will hear from are some of the best in their fields. Having a chance to hear them, question them and have lunch with them is an extraordinary opportunity. This trip to Chicago is an investment in your health. Having two guys that contribute so much to our support group will be fantastic. I hope you can both make it. Until Chicago, Tarheel Tim

Guest guest
Thanks to Tim and all the others who have chimed in to encourage everyone to try to find a way to make it to the Chicago conference if you can. Please know that in planning the conference, Becky and I have done everything in our power to keep the registration fee and hotel rate as reasonable as possible, as we know what the economic crisis means to all of us. If you're thinking of coming to the conference, be sure to send in your registration form before April 3, at which point, the cost goes up a bit for late registration. Chaim and Ian, if you can join us, we love having international attendees! You offer a whole new dimension to our weekend. Ivor from the UK, who has attended all our conferences, will be in Chicago, and I think that Nicklas from Sweden is also planning on attending again. Ian, we already have four other Canadians registered. Chaim, you will be our first ever attendee from Israel!!! I look forward to meeting both of you, as well as all our new attendees from the States. Of course, I can't wait to catch up with all the past returning members of our wonderful " PSC family! " Please let me know if anyone has questions about the conference. It's going to be a fantastic weekend!!!
