Guest guest
Thanks, I am very much looking forward to it. Last year I went to the UK support group meeting, which is " only " an afternoon, but I learned a lot from Dr. Chapman and from the other attendants. I am way more involved in this group than I am in the UK support group so I expect it will be a stronger social experience this time around. It's always very special when we have more members of our international family joining the festivities. I just sent in my registration fee too. I got a pretty good price for my flight but I know how difficult it is to swing the expenses this year. I just want you and any other support member to know that the money you spend participating in this conference is sooooo well worth it. I don't know anyone that's left a previous conference feeling they didn't get their money's worth. I think everyone knows how good it feels to get a response to their query or a supporting hand via our email group. Multiply that by 100 and you'll get the feeling of meeting the people you've corresponded with, sharing face to face the the stories and battles that we all hold in common. I have made life long friends at these conferences, some of which I have visited with during travels, in state get togethers and even visits to my home. The speakers you will hear from are some of the best in their fields. Having a chance to hear them, question them and have lunch with them is an extraordinary opportunity. This trip to Chicago is an investment in your health. Having two guys that contribute so much to our support group will be fantastic. I hope you can both make it. Guest guest
Ricky, Is there a way to pay the registration fee with credit card? I don't have an American checking account, and a money order is complicated and expensive here. Please know that in planning the conference, Becky and I have done everything in our power to keep the registration fee and hotel rate as reasonable as possible, as we know what the economic crisis means to all of us. If you're thinking of coming to the conference, be sure to send in your registration form before April 3, at which point, the cost goes up a bit for late registration. Chaim and Ian, if you can join us, we love having international attendees! You offer a whole new dimension to our weekend. Ivor from the UK, who has attended all our conferences, will be in Chicago, and I think that Nicklas from Sweden is also planning on attending again. Ian, we already have four other Canadians registered. Chaim, you will be our first ever attendee from Israel!!! I look forward to meeting both of you, as well as all our new attendees from the States. Of course, I can't wait to catch up with all the past returning members of our wonderful " PSC family! " Please let me know if anyone has questions about the conference. It's going to be a fantastic weekend!!!
