I have heard of people getting kidneys through that site. I believe, even that at least one of the kids whose family I met at the RMH or the hospital found their child's kidney donor through that site.

I've heard nothing negative about it.

Is anyone familiar with matchingdonors. com? The organization attempts to match living donors with patients in need of transplant. Upon first glance it appears to be a reputable site but would take a lot further study to determine that. Thought I'd ask this knowledgeable group first.I have a very good friend who has listed her 74-year-old father on the site looking for a live kidney donor. He was turned down for listing due to his age and cancer that returns DUE to the dialysis flushing out the chemo treatments he's been receiving. (Kidney failure due to chemo given after wrong diagnosis two years ago.)Wife of Fred, PSC, 03/04, UC, 03/06(By the way, Fred says he'll NEVER get a liver transplant, but he said he'd never get a liver biopsy or colonoscopy either. The guy, seriously, has no credibility with me. :) )

I did look at this site before, but it's been a while. As far as credibility...unknown.

Now, regarding Fred, I began this journey saying I'd not have a colonoscopy, ERCP and liver biopsy (they wanted to do them all within two days!). Then, I went on to say I'd never have a SECOND liver biopsy and that I wasn't interested in a liver tx. However, here I am 25 years since the time of that first claim and I've had them ALL. I think God brings us to the point we need to be...one step at a time. Where it now seems like a long leap to Fred, some day it may be just a mere step to be where he needs to be. His credibility is in question and rightfully so! Oh, that Fred!

Yes you can not trust those Cradle Robbers. By the way I notice March is a bad month for Fred and diagnosis.

True Ian, March IS a bad month for Fred. He comes in like a lion, and

out like a lamb after being hit with these crummy diagnoses! I'm

thinking we'll skip March this year.

Wife of Fred PSC 03/04, UC 03/06, and Marching past March this year.
