Guest guest
Hello, I have recently switched to Armour Thyroid medication. I have been on it a total of about 20 days. I was on .75 lev. before the switch then I stayed on the Lev. and added 1/2 grain Armour for about 10 days. Then my Dr. upped the medication to 1-1/2 grains Armour and no Lev. so I have been on that for about 10 days. I have not tested positive for Hashi's, just goiter, no RIA so I still have my thyroid. I felt great for the first 10 days and even for a few days after changing to complete Armour. My Dr. has me taking the whole dose in the morning and it didn't take many days to come to the conclusion that I need to change to twice a day because I feel like it " wears off " part way through the day. After a few days on full Armour I started feeling very sluggish, had some depression boughts, a lot of swelling in the hands and legs, I would develop a headache in the evening. Now I have a headache all the time. Very sore muscles. Can hardly walk around. They are sore to the touch as well. I even have had times with ringing in the ears. One of the strangest symptoms was a real horrible body odder after I exercised that lasted for a couple days. (Never smelled anything like it in my life) Seems to be gone now. I am very brain fogged also. I have never felt this bad before. Even before getting any treatment for my thyroid. I keep telling myself it is an adjustment period but every day is worse. I feel horrible. I don't think my body is taking kindly to the switch. The only other things I take are some Vitamins. What do you think I should do? My brain is so confused I need some very specific advice. I just can't get my mind around the problem. i can't get my mind around any problem. Thank you, Cluckymom
Guest guest
hi Cluckymom, I switced from .150 synthroid to armour and developed the ringing in the ears after 22 days on the armour 2 grains. The ringing got progressivly worse as the months went on. I stayed on amour for 3 months. I have got no response as to why my ears were ringing. I switched back to my synthroid after 3 months on armour. I have been on synthroid for a little over 2 months now and the ringing is lessening. I wish someone would have an answer as to why it made my ears ring. My doctor had no idea why this happened either. My blood tests showed me in the normal range. athena > > Hello, > > I have recently switched to Armour Thyroid medication. I have been on > it a total of about 20 days. Guest guest
Ringing ears is a HYPO symptom. My best guess without seeing any labs is that you were not on enough Armour. *Artistic Grooming * Hurricane, WV Old aunts used to come up to me at weddings, poking me in the ribs and cackling, telling me, " You're next. " They stopped after I started doing the same thing to them at funerals
Guest guest
I have ringing of the ears and I have Adrenal Fatigue! Kathy Re: Re: New Armour user needs help! That is odd. Ringing ears is a definite sign of hypoT. Mine started ringing and I upped the dosage. No more problems.
