Guest guest
I am saddened to hear so many talk about what they used to do but can't anymore. It is the one thing that makes me angry at the disease....that it is winning and changing our lives. Granted there are some days that it isn't wise to do anything but take extra TLC, heat and rest but there are a lot days that I think, " Am a really going to hurt any worse if I go for a hike or go to work than if I stay home and be inactive? Will I hurt less if I stay home? " I've been surprised by the answer. Sometimes the pain reduces a great deal when I go out and enjoy nature and people. There are times that the next day is really good because of the energy I exerted the day before. Sometimes I just go to the mall and sit and watch the mothers with their children. That way I am still hearing laughter and seeing people but I don't have to explain to my " friends " why I am feeling the way I am.
