Guest guest
Good afternoon. I haven't had anything new to report today. The transplant doctors have not been in to see Tom yet, so I haven't really been given an update. He is a little cranky today. The swelling from his IV fluids is making him uncomfortable, and he has some pain from the surgery. That is to be expected. He was having some trouble with nausea today too. I had hoped to bring our son over to visit this evening, but I think I'll wait until Tom is feeling a little better. His overall condition continues to look good, and the ICU doctor that stopped by thinks he is improving. I'd really like to be able to hear that from one of the transplant doctors, though. He looks good to me, and maybe crankiness is a good sign! I missed going to church today. I'd love to see everyone there. Hopefully by next Sunday I'll be able to attend services. I was able to go home last night and sleep in my own bed. It was especially nice to check in with . Larry, Tom's liver donor, has improved enough to be moved to a regular room. He is apparently also pretty sore today, so it must just be that point in the recovery for both guys. Larry was able to move to a chair today. Hopefully that point will come soon for Tom...I think it would help his sore back. Sorry there isn't more to report. If I find out anything I'll write another posting tonight.
