Guest guest
Monday March 2ndWell another visit to transplant clinic over and done with. I have been having a few problems with low haemaglobin (not enough red blood cells) ever since the transplant, and it's still not getting better. To this end I am booked for an endoscopy/colonoscopy next week, to see if there is any bleeding. This is the easy option (????) as the alternative is that the bone marrow is not producing enough. With the rest of my blood results, this is actually more likely, but harder to fix, so I'm not sure what kind of result I'm after. All in all I'm doing great though. Have gone back to tennis fixtures twice a week with mixed results but loads of patience from my wonderful team mates who tirelessly run around behind me. I confessed to one of the surgeons today that I was playing again, and he was dumbfounded. That's about all our news. The trip to the whitsunday's for Ali's birthday was great, showed I can travel alone again with confidence. Steffi and I had a ball, but piked out of waterskiing. She did some tubing, and I just swam off the back of the boat like a lady (till I tried to get out of the water...nothing ladylike there!) Stay well, and thanks for your continued interest,Lots of love Penny T To send a message to penny and family goto; http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/pennyt -- Ian Cribb P.Eng.
