It's a shame I'd not known this 'before' i ordered those books, cuz I'd have

never furthered their cause. For somebody to pick up those books and think that

they are 100% accurate leaves a lot to be desired. I got so frustrated, I put

down both of them and have not even tried to read any further.

I read Broda book and refer to it over all thyroid books. If not for

him, we'd prolly not know of the benefits of armour as we've learned. Anybody

after him only slid in on Coat tails.

I'm 99 44/100ths sure that each IsoCort pellet is 2 1/2 mg of cortisol, not 5.

The daily max dosage is 8 pellets, which gives you the 20 mg of cortisol that is

considered safe (although some say that is too high). I'm on 15 mg of Cortef,

which should be roughly equal to 6 IsoCort's a day.

You hang in there. It gets better! Of course, then sometimes it gets worse

again, but then it probably gets better again after that. Hopefully it gets

more better than it got worse.

OK, I think it's bedtime.

I took 5mg for starters, right off.

Maybe I should cut another one in 1/2 and take 2.5mg this evening and

another 2.5mg maybe late tonight? does this sound too fast? or is

there somthing I haven't thought of?

I am an opinionated and determined survivor but without you, Kerry,

think I would have made it the last several weeks. I almost didn't

but I think we can figure this out. I know you all know how grateful

I checked out The Thyroid Solution from the library. They didn't have all

of the books on the list, so I purchased a few from half.com. I am glad I

didn't spend any money on that one. I am going to let my sister know that

one is only good for the " mental " part of it.

Thank you, , thank you! Better, worse, better, worse, I just

love random conditioning, don't you?

Maybe I got an " off-brand " ? This Bezwecken iso. has 240 pellets of

5mg/ea. Or maybe they sell different strengths like I have .5 gr and

1gr Armour all set for starting over next week?

I set my alarm for 7:30am popped a pellet, crunched, and rolled over

until 8:30. Getting up was so easy, today, I couldn't believe it! My

body still feels like I've been in a wreck and I'm so ready for my BP

headaches to stop but I'm much better and MY BRAIN is CALMLY awake -

like a human being!!!!

Turns out my nice new doc's ofc called me three (3!) times at home

yesterday ('member I'm at M+D's) to tell me labs are back and to make

an appt. I called this am and said this is what I'm doing until I can

come see you on Friday.

I've reread the Adrenal files and I am heeding everyone's

cautions, too, so I don't cause a worse set of problems but I must

have really needed this stuff. My DH' & my own flashlight tests

wiggle A LOT after 7 seconds. My DD (nearly 12) year old's irises

hardly shut at all -she's so stressd by her disability and what she's

been through.

So far day 2 is good, too.

OK, I see what you're saying. Each pellet is 5 mg of " stuff " , which

contains (among other things) 2.5 mg of cortisol. So we were both

right. :-)

Bezwecken are the only ones that make IsoCort, although there are tons

of adrenal glandulars out there by other names. So, you got the right

stuff. Glad to hear it's helping. The best thing about adrenal

support, for me, is that it lets me take Armour. Without adrenal

support, Armour was like when Wile E. Coyote ate an entire bottle of

Earthquake Pills. Hopefully, Armour will help with your aches and

pains. It helped mine so much, I realized I had a hernia because it was

the only thing that didn't stop hurting. And the adrenal support helped

recovering from the surgery so much, I was only on painkillers for 2

days. And I'm a wimp!

Well, good luck to all of you, especially your daughter. Poor thing is

too young to have to go through all of this.

What would I do wid-out-cha? Thank you for explaining that! I see,

now, that the label is misleading. Wow! if I get that much of a kick

out of so little, my tank must have been out of fumes, even!

Yes, thanks, I'm eager to get DH's test results back and to get the

pediatrician to order the correct labs, then I can work on getting

them proper help.Thanks, again!
