Guest guest
Cheryl, I used to paint with oils and do some work with Pen and Ink, and did a lot of sketching in Pencil.....as a hobby. But when I worked as a Graphic Artist I worked at a small Family owned business, starting out as a Paste up Artist, laying out Ads for the printers....After 2 years I had worked my way up to Manager of the Production Dept. and it was my duty to review and put together jobs for the other Paste up artists....I had 7 people working under me. But as I said I started loosing my ability to concentrate, and focus, and when I was demoted back to Paste up artist ....I had a breakdown of sorts, and I just could not deal with the idea, after I had worked so hard to get where I was to be treated so poorly. I had always had a problem with Depression....and this just was the last straw......I applied for and got my SSD based on Major Depression. This was about 9 years before I was diagnosed with Lupus. But ........I was able to learn a new trade, and worked at it for 10 years before the symptoms of what we now know was the beginnings of Lupus made it impossible . Good luck to your Hubby. new tricks Thanks ! That was quite an accomplishment you had. Are you talented with the ink or the computer?
