> You must be talkin to me! Yes, I have balance...Well, that was a

very poor

> way for you to put it...Since the brain surgery, the equalibrium is

bad, so I

Missy: I apologize for my poor use of language. I meant to ask if

any person who posts here feel that, despite our pain, our suffering,

our losses, our limitations, that they, for themselves, have found a

way of coping with their symptoms and the life that coping brings

which gives them happiness, peace and hope. If they are

never " cured " , do they still consider that they " live " rather than

just exist?

>

" I have ups and downs, but ignore alot, and function as normal as

possible. I deal the hand that I got. I think everyone does!

You will see alot of gripes in here. There are alot of folks who

cannot gripe at home, so they come here to vent, and we support and

listen to them. "

Again, my apologies for my poor use of language. I was not trying to

imply that persons posting here should not complain. We all need a

place to vent and it is great to have a safe one where we will be

understood. I only meant to ask if people had feelings other than

those vented ones which were posted?

>

" As far as normalcy...I have an autistic 4 year old that does not

allot me much time to remember how terrible I feel. I cannot sit for

more than 15 minutes at a shot, so I am constantly on the go, since

I HATE to lay down! The pain meds, and my other meds have calmed

things down enough to get by. I sincerely believe that people with a

condition like fibro have a very large threshold for pain, as I know

alot of people who would not function at all with the pain that the

people on this list have! "

I can only imagine what life with FMS and an autistic child would be

like. You must be a special person to be able to cope with all of

this. I think that challenges, such as we have, can offer

opportunities to grow and to love in special ways we might not have

done had we not have had these challenges. Not to say I would not

choose easier challenges, if I'd been given a choice. Perhaps you

agree with me.

>

" One day, I am planning on waking up without my pain, and resuming

life as I once knew it. Every night I cross my fingers that it will

be tomorrow. But, if it is not tomorrow, I will get through tomorrow

with a smile! "

Then by your paragraph above, I would think that your answer to my

question about what you do to live rather than to exist is to hope

and that having that hope supports you in your journey. This is what

I was trying to elicit with my poorly worded question. Does anyone

have a sense of living their life rather than existing and if so,

would it not help to post that in here as well as what we want to

vent about. I hope that I have worded my question in a more correct

version so as to be better understood.

Sincerely.... Lamisa
