Yes, I do know that and I do try to keep it in mind when I do " Sweat the

Small Stuff. "

By the way, do try and stay away from those bears. They are not friendly

although yours seem to be friendly. You should not start to feed animals if

you are not going to continue. If this bear had been fed and then the people

moved or stopped, the next time he show up, tell him to go ransack their

house.

Take care,

Irene

I just think I had better water...it was fresh, cool, clean, and chemical

free!

The day following the bear, I was out on the pool deck on my raft (a glutten

for punishment). I had the car alarm control for my truck, and the cell

phone on the deck. We have 2 fawns that come and mutilate my garden daily.

Well, I heard something and scampered out of the pool and there was the

little deer looking at me as if to say " what is your problem, it's only me " .

I wish they would drink! Something happened to their mom. So, they are all

alone. They seem to be eating and doing relatively well, but it is so dry

here!

Not funny Allicia...you have no idea how many birds I end up with in the

spring because I know how to handfeed. LOL I am involved with the local

wildlife center. That is how I got my big idea on how to chase the bear

off...Lot of help that was! I enjoy the wildlife here, but the situation is

a bit strange this year since we had a huge fire on the mountain 2 weeks ago,

and it is still burning underground? So far is has claimed 180 acres, so the

animals area all coming down. Our yard abbuts the mountain, so they wander

right in. I saw 3 red-taild hawks today all at one time...that has never

happened before.

This was not meant to imply that you should stop feeding the animals but that

others that buy some animal because it is a cute baby and when it stops being

a cute baby, they take it out and turn it loose and the animal does not know

how to cope for itself. People are especially bad at doing this with dogs

and cats. There should be something done to people like that.

Oh, I know! And...believe me...I have seen far too much impulse buying of

dogs and cats, not to mention the puppy mill factor introduced with that

topic. I am going to shut up now because I don't think anyone wants to hear

my off the wall views on this stuff! LOL I have always felt that if you

wanna feed birds and squirrels, be my guest. But, when you start feeding

bears you are only hurting them, not helping them. The situation at

Yellowstone park is an excellent example. Due to humans feeding them, they

rely on the humans for food, and then the bear ends up stepping over the line

of contact and gets destroyed...like the bear is supposed to know when to

stop! I used to think that we were the intelligent species...Sometimes I am

not so sure anymore. I'm done...really! LOL
