Guest guest
Welcome, and you are right, trying to find the balance between doing nothing and way too much, is hard. I constantly struggle with it. I find my best way of doing things is to do a little something, and then sit for a while. Speaking of which, I need to go throw a load of laundry in! I wasn't up to doing it last week. Darcy

Guest guest
Hi, I wanted to welcome to the group. This group is full of knowledge and full of understanding people. I hope you ask any and all questions you may have. Take care and hope you have a great evening. ~ sarapiano50 sarapiano50@...> wrote: I have had FMS for many years and in the last ten years I have developed RSD in my hands and left side in general. I work from home as a piano teacher! and struggle to keep spirits up and to keep positive. Its only pain is what I tell myself and I try to keep busy doing crafts and reading and stroking my cats (cat-therapy). Nevertheless, come the night comes the moment of truth. You can run but you can't hide! I take a raft of medication - arthotec antiepileptic drugs for rsd anti depressants etc etc....... I am surprised that I can still stand somedays. The hardest part of managing this condition is getting the balance right between doing nothing and doing the amount that will not wipe you out for the next three or four days. Its that balancing that is the worst part about it to me. I am lucky in that my hubby helps as much as he can and also that I am not at all houseproud anymore. If things are left then they are left. If I am wiped out by doing too much then I allow myself to rest until I begin to feel better and that has become a way of life. Last night I fell asleep sitting on the edge of the bed before I get undressed a record even for me! My main regret is that my kids don't remember me as a young and energetic woman. I am in constant pain in my neck shoulders and hands and now more recently in my hips, I am gaining weight and it would be great to find a cure. It will happen! Guest guest
Darcy & Everyone~ I also have that same problem. When I feel cruddy I don't' do much. Make dinner and that is about it. Now when I'm feeling good I over do it and I'm back where I started the day before. Luckily I've been feeling almost back to normal * except for the pain* for about a week. Thank- heavens! When it comes to the laundry my husband does it and then he brings it up from the basement and I fold it. Last month when I was feeling oh-so bad he folded it and brought it up for me to put away, but since my kids know where their clothes go they put them away for me. The bad thing about him bringing up the clothes is that he puts it on my dining room table! I can never keep up. Last week I took all of the kids winter things out of the closents and drawers and organized them and put the summer things in and I am starting to catch up on that pile on the table. It's irritating sometimes. But what are ya gonna do? Just gotta go with it. Well, I am going to go lay down after I finish these e-mails. Take care everyone! ~closets ---------------------------------
