Guest guest
I will work my way up. I figured I'd start on 1g and go up to 1.5g next week. My doctor obliged me with the Armour prescription but he seemed a little terrified. I even managed to get a 30mg prescription from him as well so I could modify my dose. But he is making me go to the clinic's endo and... well, I bet we can all guess what she's going to say. My brother-in-law went to this endo for diabetes and didn't like her. Anyone know a good doctor in San Diego? Oh yes, another thing. I'm on about day 3 of Armour and I've started having an odd headache. It is a fleeting, stabbing pain in one part of my head. Not really like any headache I've had before. It just comes on for a second or two and then goes away. My blood pressure is normal. Thanks everyone for the good news. > hmmm....i'm thinking you need more armour. > the joint pain should go away once you get on an optimal dose of Armour- > which means that TSH may well be suppressed. > cindi > > >
Guest guest
I know of a wholistic clinic in SanDiego,. but I'll have to dig for the info. On the other hand, I know of a great doc in Palm Springs. Dr. Neal Rouzier on Tahquitz Way. www.hormonedoctor.com. My sister goes to him. He started her out on 2 grains, told her to work up from the 1 grain she was taking of mine with a re-check in a month. I'll be seeing him on the 17th, and I'll have him look at my hormones too. I just got some labs back and my estrogen/progesterone are in the toilet. I know Palm Springs is a drive, but hey, he's right down the street from the Spa Casino and Resort.... Re: upping your dose: the optimal dose before the advent of blood testing was somewhere between 3 and 5 grains, which is what thehuman thyroid makes in a day anyways. Since you have no thyroid, you would need to do full replacement. There are a couple of ways to go about this. 1) You can try to convince your GP to medicate by symptoms and we can help you find medical articles to support supressive TSH dosing, T3 in the top of the range, etc. 2) You can be less aggressive with your GP, keeping your current scrip and supplementing with Thyroid-S obtained from 'other' sources. 3) you can try Palm Springs or maybe the place I htink I know of in San Diego. Lemme know if you want me to look up that other clinic. Cheers, Friday > > I will work my way up. I figured I'd start on 1g and go up to 1.5g > next week.
