Guest guest
Rog was listed 26 months ago his MELD was 14. got his call 9:30 AM Monday Jan.19th. to fly to Nashville, TN. We arrived around 5 PM. After getting ready for OR his Dr. spoke with us then left, a 30 min. trip,to get 's new liver. Just before 9 PM we got the word his liver is healthy and it's a go! (Blast off) was within a week or two of not being with us, MELD was 24. I'm just so overwhelmed to let you all know he's doing wonderful, full of energy and no yellow eyes or skin!!!! Drs. are tweeking his meds at this point. He's starting to show rejection but from what we've been told it's a piece of cake, no worry. From what we;ve been thru, I agree. We read the PSC emails and enjoy learning from y'all. Hang in there, we're praying for y'all. If we can answer any question let us know. This past summer with ITP and other " events " including a broken hip, and other illnesses due to PSC we have a few answers! Gift of life what a blessing! Now I've been on both sides of having a family member give and a wonderful loving husband receive.
