Guest guest
--- I am SOOO glad you brought this up! I remember when I tried that high fiber diet and almost died from the pain. Magnesium helps me a lot more than fiber! In @y..., Darcy Stockstill wrote: > I just couldn't do this. Raw fruits and veggies sometimes make my > stomach hurt. Guest guest
Darcy, don't worry I'm with you on the IBS and raw veggies. Normally I can handle raw fruits (in smoothie form of course!), but I really hve to limit my raw veggies. Once I had a perfectly delicious salad that kept me in bed forever. A diet that is very interesting is the Paleolithic diet. This diet is based on what our ancestor hunter- gatherers would have eaten (and what modern hunter-gatherer people eat). I don't adhere to the diet, but I do use some of their recipies. It is a diet of things that can be caught in the wild instead of farmed and cultivated. The beverages are great coffee alternatives, and the fruit recipes have a lot of apple ideas. An apple a day keeps the doctor away, right? Katy PS: thanks Darcy for the work advice. I think I'll just have to mention that my health isn't so good and hope the problem co-worker catches on.
