Guest guest
Jeanne, My doc spent one whole day deciding I was right that I shouldn't up my Armour as much as he originally thought (he wanted to increase 60 mg) - so he gave me an Rx for enough 15mg for only 14 days, then another Rx for 90 mg after that - but the pharmacy wouldn't fill both at the same time - guess they thought I'd overdose! I hope they'll refill the 60mg one that I need to take with the 15! Gawd, there are just idiots everywhere, aren't there? LOL Joyce > > Well....after five phone messages in to the endos' office.over a > period of three weeks...I had been calling and calling about > increasing my Armour....no return phone call...well,yesterday, I had > finally had it...because my rx had run out for the current 2 grains > they prescribed...so I called again ,with a little more attitude in > my voice...and so late last eve an asst. calls me,and wants to know > the reason for my cla....on big DUH!!!!!---so again i tell her....and > after three phone calls back, she finally had the doc refill my > scrip....but ONLY for the same 2 grains.....and now she tells me that > they are referring me to another " more specialized " endo at Ohio > State....because there are SOME people who have other problems > besides " just simple thyroid " --and that NO I can definetely NOT > increase my meds......well, I have a surprise for them.....when I > go ....I am currently taking 31/2 grains......of my own....got really > tired of them leaving me to die......FINALLY, there is some lite at > the end of the tunnel....heart palps nearly gone..shortness of breath > gone....woo..hoo!!!---I believe I may be starting to heal...jeanne
Guest guest
I believe I may be starting to heal...jeanne Does this fit into the 'Stupid Doctor " category? They are telling you you have some other terrible things wrong rather than just allowing you to raise your dose. They would have you on statins, anditdepressives and God knows what else rather than just letting you do the cheapest and most effective thing - increase your thryoid. Sometimes I felt like telling the docs to stick it in their ear. I know about the palps. Boy when my thyroid is going downhill, palps are my first indicator that I need more medicine. That is what I have right now. They will be going away when I get my ft4 to the upper third of the range.

Guest guest
It amazes me every time I get a prescription to see the side-effects and the " Call your doctor immediately if... " I noticed the Armour says " No common side effects. " Period. Then it describes the hyper & hypoT symptoms and says those will only happen if your dose is too high or too low.....How simple is that? But it's " bad " for us to take an amount that makes us feel better? " I'm mad as hell and I'm not going to take it any more!
