Guest guest
I haven't been around the group much lately, but all the " Chicago " headings have my e-mail flags waving. This won't help the international travelers, but for those of us in the U.S., this IRS rule can be helpful: __________ Medical Conferences You can include in medical expenses amounts paid for admission and transportation to a medical conference if the medical conference concerns the chronic illness of yourself, your spouse, or your dependent. The costs of the medical conference must be primarily for and necessary to the medical care of you, your spouse, or your dependent. The majority of the time spent at the conference must be spent attending sessions on medical information. The cost of meals and lodging while attending the conference is not deductible as a medical expense __________ You'll never otherwise get a night in a near-Michigan Ave. hotel for as low of a price as the Partners have arranged. But, for anyone who finds the hotel portion of the trip to be the deal-breaker: you can stay at our house. Not, alas, on the Magnificent Mile, but only about a 15-minute cab ride away. Of course, I've already invited all the families from PSCMOMS to come for a slumber party, so there's no guarantee of a bed -- or quiet. But I can promise it'll be lively. Guest guest
> > Do you allow " visitors " at the slumber party? Sure -- it's always open house season at our place. And when we say we live in Chicago, we mean in the city, not in the huge radius of suburbia. (Although some might feel it's a little too inner-city.) Guest guest
Pam, That is so thoughtful of you to invite all the families from PSCMOMS to come to your place for a slumber party during the conference. Sounds like a lot of fun! I hope to meet you at the conference!
