Guest guest
Hi folks, I’ve been in a lot of pain around my biliary drain tube for the last week. And also had two recent bouts of fever that the doctors weren’t taking very seriously because my blood work didn’t look “that bad.” When I called my interventional radiologist about the pain he had me come in for a cholangiogram today. Sure enough there was a “crink” in the tube, so it wasn’t draining properly. That caused the pain AND most likely I had a mild chronic cholangitis going on because of the slow drainage, too. Would be nice if doctors would just believe us when we say we feel just like we have cholangitis. Never mind the blood work. Grrrrr. I’m definitely making sure that the hep doctor hears the results of the cholangiogram. Nita
