Guest guest
Hi, all! For those of you talking about lymph nodes/enlarged lymph nodes, does anyone know if the sudden appearance of them is something to be concerned about? I was just told that based on what doctors saw (enlarged/inflamed lymph nodes, lymph nodes where there weren't any before (at least to the best of my understanding), etc., that they are concerned about lymphoma as well as other issues. (I also have an elevated CA 19-9, sed rates are off, high eocinaphil count, etc.). Anyhow, can anyone give me any more information about any of this? First round of biopsies were inconclusive, so they're going in again to do some more this week. To be honest, I'm not entirely sure where the lymph nodes are that they saw. I think I got stumped and developed brain fog amnesia somewhere during the discussion with the doc. Do they only occur around the liver or could they be in my ducts, colon, etc., too? Thanks for your help! Sandi in VA/Rochester
Guest guest
Thanks for the input about your neck, it is helpful Dawn > >Hi, > > I was just thinking the same thing about the lymph nodes. I had a problem with enlarged nodes on one side of my neck since October, and it grows and retreats, although now it isn't as bad as it was before. I feel fine, otherwise, though. My ENT told me today that my last CAT scan looked normal, but last week the node was swollen. Now, it isn't. I don't know what to make of it, but she just says it's nothing, just a random swollen lymph node. Not good enough. Never had this problem before, so why now. Thinking of changing ENTs. Wonder if it has something to do with white blood cells, my GI says that one of my white blood cells are acting up. I feel pretty much kay, though. I don't know if this is helpful to you, if only for the fact that you are not the only one dealing with it. > > > >
