Guest guest
Hi Lynne~ I'm curious why a orthopedic surgeon would give you that kind of information when he deals with surgery? Some doctors are such idiots. Where do they get off telling people that fms is fatal. I have a ton of books on fms and no where does it say it'll kill you. Here are the names of two of my fav. books. 'The Bible Cure for Chronic Fatigue & Fibromyalgia' by Don Colbert, M.D. 'Fibromyalgia and the MindBodySpirit Connection by B. Salt, M.D. & Edwin H. Season, M.D. Dr. Salt has also written a book on Irritable Bowel Syndrom & the Mind-Body/Brain-Gut Connection. Dr. Season & Dr. Salt are in Columbus, Ohio. I just thought the books maybe helpful to some of you. These were the first 2 books I picked up. I had a question for all of you. Does anyone have problems with their feet when they wake up? My feet hurt so bad when I get up in the a.m. I've had problems since I started having other fms problems. I was wondering. Thanks!! Lynne sleepyme50@...> wrote: Hi Folks: I never post. I am always a lurker but I thought this might be worth posting. I have been a total wreck since I went to an othopedic surgeon for my osteoporosis last Friday for a follow-up. He told me that my x-rays were terrible but that HE COULDN'T HELP ME. He told me to go to a rheumatologist. He also leaned over to me closely and in a stage whisper proclaimed, " And of course, you DO know that Fibro is FATAL! " Then he proceeded to write down the name of a book he recommended for me called " What Doctors Don't Tell You About Fibromyalgia " . He didn't know the name of the author. Well, that pretty much made my day. It also pretty much blew away whatever hope I ever had of watching my daughter grow up. Feedback? Severely depressed in California, Lynne __________________________________________________

Guest guest
YOU COULD HAVE HEEL SPURS...I DO AND THEY ARE BRUTAL IN THE MORNINGS. THE MUSCLES IN YOUR FEET GET REALLY TIGHT SO I WOULD SUGGEST GETTING AN EMPTY COKE BOTTLE, FILL IT W/ WATER AND FREEZE IT. I ROLL MY FEET OVER THE FROZEN BOTTLE AND IT HELPS. ALSO, PUT A TOWEL ON THE FLOOR THEN SCRUNTCH IT WITH YOUR TOES...THIS WORKS THE MUSCLES IN YOUR FEET AND HELPS TO LOOSEN THEM UP. LET'S SEE, OH, ROTATE YOUR ANKLES...THIS ALSO HELPS LOOSEN THE MUSCLE. HOPE SOME OF THIS HELPS.
