Eugene,

Hi! How's your day going? I'm glad to hear you'll be sticking around for a bit

and joining the discussions! We'll look forward to hearing from you. :)

You mentioned in your e-mail that you've yet to verbally communicate with

another PSCer. That is a problem for many PSCers and one of the many reasons

for our annual PSC Partners Seeking a Cure conferences. Have you heard about

them yet? I'm not sure where you live or if attending would be a possibility

for you, but this year's conference is coming up this May 1-3 in Chicago,

Illinois. In case you haven't heard about it, the conference is for

PSCers/caregivers/researchers, etc. We always have excellent speakers,

researchers, doctors, breakout groups, etc. as well. This year doesn't look

like it'll be any different.

I can't even explain to you how wonderful it is to be in a room with doctors,

researchers and other PSCers and their families and friends and all be dedicated

to the exact same thing, finding a cure for PSC. While the conference does

focus on serious issues of PSC and we get an awful lot of information, updates

on advances, etc., we also make sure there is plenty of time for socialization.

I don't even think it's possible for me to explain to you the kind of peace it

gives you to talk to somebody who not only knows what you're going through but

actually gets it on a true, basic level.

I could go on and on (and I sort of have), but the main point is that I would

encourage anyone who hasn't come to a conference before to definitely give it a

try. It really is life-changing in the best possible way. Those who have been

before, I'd encourage you to come back...but I'm guessing it's already on your

to-do list! :)

Anyhow, now that I've written you a little mini novel, if you have any questions

about the conference, you can either ask me or find more information on it at

www.pscpartners.org. I'm so glad you've found this group. I really think it's

going to bring you answers to needed questions and peace of mind. I'm looking

forward to getting to know you better.

Welcome again!
