Yes, every time I saw the doctor I was either in tears or on the

verge of crying, so I really wasn't in any shape to argue with him.

I didn't have the PTU, I had Tapazole (generic is methimazole), plus

something to slow down my heart....it was never offered as an option

to continue on those medications until the thyroid burned itself out-

the only options were RAI or surgical removal....but it wouldn't

have occurred to me to question that! Thanks, I don't feel so stupid

now!
