hey Since I started having PSC symptoms, I also suffered from dry mouth

and in the last blood tests I had high Albumin and Sodium, my doctor

said I might be a little dehydrated.

Is it a PSC symptom? and what does it mean?

Thanks

Micheal,

I don't think dehydration is caused by PSC, but dehydration causes more problems with PSC (ie. thicker bile). Make sure you drink lots (water).

Hi ;

If you have both dry eyes and dry mouth, then it's possible that this

could be Sjogren's syndrome, an autoimmune disease that is sometimes

associated with PSC:

Sjögren's syndrome

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sjogren_syndrome

PANCREATITIS, SCLEROSING CHOLANGITIS, AND SICCA COMPLEX

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/dispomim.cgi?id=260480

The sicca complex is also known as the Sjogren syndrome.

While it is important to recognize this as a possibile cause of dry

mouth in a PSC background, only your doctor could diagnose you with

this syndrome.

It may be that you just need to increase your water intake!

Best regards,

Dave R.

Yeah I've read some of the previous entries containing dry mouth. Some

poeple with Sjogren have it so it's obvious but some people (like me)

just have dry mouth ( I have it on my lips mostly and sometimes in the

throat)..

And it also comes with diabetes, it seems like it's some kind of a

weird reaction of the body to autoammune diseases...

My doctors are still looking for sjogren but can't find it
