Guest guest
Same here, Cindi...so heavy that I couldn't leave the house on certain days...and the cycles got very close together...the gynecologist wanted to do an immediate hysterectomy because of this and the large fibroids (supposedly) causing it. My ferritin dropped from 79 to 9. Since going on Armour late last summer, that problem has cleared...and cycles are more in the 28-31 day range now. , Wisconsin Re: Ferritin Questions and cancer thoughts In a message dated 3/8/2005 10:07:46 PM Eastern Standard Time, myidahobeachbum@... writes: > I was put on a three month cycle of progesterone for this weird > freaky scarry heavy clot thing that happened to me, > are you talking about menstrual clotting? that's hypo....mine was SEVERE...for years and years...but cleared up within months of starting armour. cindi

Guest guest
Could it be that low thyroid/need for Armour is part of the cramping business with periods too? My middle daughter is starting to have horrible cramps with her periods. I have been treating her low ferritin first and waiting to treat her thyroid, but, now I am thinking that I should start her on 1/2 grain also. Thoughts anyone? Guest guest
I had horrible cramping as a teenager, and the docs put me on BC pills too. Such wonderful relief, however, that is when I started gaining weight, my breasts grew huge and who knows what else that brought on as I matured. Now, here I am with hashi's and have had it for who knows how long. By the time I was DX'd, I had antibodies >1000. I'm sure you can imagine that this made my undiagnosed thyroid disease even more problematic, but the BC pill got rid of the cramps so I didn't have a clue. Now that my thyroid is more normal, no more cramps (and I got rid of the pill too). If only the docs could have tried to look at what was causing symptoms instead of pushing meds to get rid of symptoms I would not be here suffering so much.
