Guest guest
> I have been off the past few days...just saw the request for recommendations for so cal docs....and want to add my " me, too " to the suggestion for Pockros of Scripps Green (in La Jolla). He is our daughter's local gi/hep and is great. He's the GI/Hep division head and medical director of liver transplantation at Green. Great bedside manner, easy to contact, funny sense of humor, and just one big walking brain. Love the guy. He stays up on the latest in psc news, is in close contact with Lindor of Mayo (and heartily encouraged and helped arrange for Libby to see Lindor after she was first diagnosed 5 years ago.) Now that LIbby is living in Los Angeles for school and needs a local doc there, Dr Pockros recommended she see Tse-Ling Fong, who is USC's version of Pockros (head of liver transplantation, etc.)This week, she finally got off her fanny to make an appointment to see him (oh, getting 20-somethings to make their own doctor appointments is like pulling teeth), so we can't make a " Likeability " assessment yet....but Fong's credentials are stellar and if Pockros likes him.....we like him. Wells mom to Libby, psc '03. > ....sooo is there a doctor in the house? ...or at least one that lives in > southern California, Orange county, or San Diego area...Help! >
