My wife recently had her thyroid removed. (2 operations, biopsy

inconclusive, so the surgeon only took the side with the

Tumor.) Going back to Endo 3-14. Will probably start RAI prep shortly

after.

The tumor was symmetrical, and the surgeon said he could not find any

indication of it having spread. Said the tumor was

just starting to become cancerous????

I take care of our “health situation” Her attitude is “give me the pill and

I will go sit in the corner”. Mine is “question everything, and

if the Doctor will not work with me, find another that will”. I have to

push and drag her some times, but the results are usually worth it.

She is coming around to my point of view.

I have prepared a list of questions for the doctor. I hope we are not

headed into a ‘war’. I do not know the doctors attitude about “treating

numbers

or symptoms” or the hormone to replace with. From every thing I have seen

here and else where, Synthoid is the last thing to try,

and Armour should be first.

She is my life, and whatever affects her affects me.

And we're glad you're here! Without you, I would never have had the

guts to tell my doctor what I thought was the right treatment! (No

more " Ok, doc, whatever you say. " )

I feel so much better just knowing that there are so many people who

have been thru what I'm going thru and who are willing to help me on

my journey back to ME!
