Guest guest
- his T4 looks low to me - that's about where mine are - IN THE TOILET! I'm with Kaiser & would heartily recommend that you RUN to see Dr. Marc Jaffe in South San Francisco - he's an endo, very progressive (for Kaiser) & is VERY willing to test a regular thyroid panel - TSH, FT3 & FT4 & antibods. He treats symptoms first, then labs & is willing to consider non-Kaiser ranges (i.e. those of AACE etc.). He will prescribe Armour (just don't mind what he rambles on about while Rx-ing it!) & seems to be a 'good guy' in a bad system! HTH - let us know how it goes with your hubby! Kirsty > Hi! Guest guest
Thank you, very much. He did as clear a job with his Kaiser doc as I did with Big L, advocating for all the right tests. He was double-crossed, and feels like we have so many times, from not having enough energy to pursue stuff to get it corrected. The trick is going to be getting him tested further...I think he'll have to go see Dr Toth...(he's followed Kaiser very closely (( so we'll have to see). Thank you, again! .... >looks very hypo to me. >cindi ----- Original Message ----- >>Total T3 143mg/dL 70-200 TSH 1.5uIU/mL 0.2-5.5 FreeT4 0.8ng/dL 0.8-1.7<< , I think he is hypo too. That T4 is JUST barely within the range, and I don't know of anyone that feels right with it that low. And his T3 is still below the top third of their range, even being a total test, he needs more than that to function well.
