Guest guest
It is definitely not just you, it is much, much (how many times can I say much?) worse during this time for me. I regularly dont suffer bad pms but since I got fms it's almost to much for me to walk. tracy > Okay ladies, is it just me or does the pain and other symptoms get > worse during your period like me? Guest guest
This time of month was bad for me I couldn't get around to good and it was very heavy then I had a hysterectomy 16 months ago and don't feel no better. I still get really tired and can't get around still. So it was not just that I needed it, made me flare and that is what all my problems really was from. Yes I had fibroid tumors but they could have done something different but didn't realize till to late. And believe it or not the pain from the fibromyalgia was worse than the incision from surgery was!!! Even my hormones are right yet!! shirley Flare during period-- sorry guys Okay ladies, is it just me or does the pain and other symptoms get worse during your period like me? Or is it just my perception is off due to extreme pms. I've noticed a general tendency if I get sick with anything (cold, flu), I'm much more likely for it to happen if the exposure occurs when I'm having my period. Definitely, a time when my body won't work quite as well. Darcy

Guest guest
Hi!! I find periods, cramps and so on not comfortable and just annoying. I am spoiloed, I have been on Depo Provera, and I have NO periods, no cramps, no problems. Great solution for me, besides that I am too flaky for pills :-)!! Okay ladies, is it just me or does the pain and other symptoms get worse during your period like me? Or is it just my perception is off due to extreme pms. Guest guest
I have had serious menstrual problems ever since menarche... but I haven't noticed an increase in Fibro symptoms during my period. I take Lo/Ovral 28 religiously to keep myself from bleeding to death, in addition to its primary function LOL said: «I am spoiloed, I have been on Depo Provera, and I have NO periods, no cramps, no problems.» I tried Depo Provera one time and refused ever to have another one of those shots. I HATED not having any period at all! Made me feel very disconnected from what I see as an important part being a woman. I backed to back two sets of bc pill packs so I wouldn't have my period the same week as my surgery. I didn't miss it at all! I'd love to never have another period. Of course, then there are the ladies who say that they feel unfemanine without their uteruses too. Nope, you can take mine and I'd still feel like a female. However, I will say that I would feel less of a woman without my breasts (which are on the smaller side) simply because society makes so much of them and they are visible to society. If I had to have my breast taken off, I would do the reconstructive surgery. Interesting how we all feel differently about what is and isn't being a woman to us as far as body parts go. Guest guest
I don't miss having my period at all!!! After my hysterectomy in 93, I felt sooo much better (well, until I was dx'ed with FM in 97). For me feeling feminine doesn't depend on what body parts I have (or don't have). It was just one more thing I didn't have to deal with. I guess its all a personal deal. At the age of 66 I do not feel that not having my menses makes me feel disconnected. I had to have surgery because I was literally bleeding into my shoes. I still had to go through the hot flashes and all connected with menopause. I do and I did not miss having periods once a month.
