Guest guest
If you are still menstruating, serum hormone tests should be measured on day 2 AND day 20 of your cycle. This way you get to see what they are at the time they should be the lowest (day 2) and when they're high (day 20). If you're interested in your peak levels, then you need to test immediately before ovulation, which is hard to detect until it's already happened. The good news is that you're most likely taking BBTs and have several months worth of data to look at so you can determine an ovulation estimate. Things that should be measured in a female hormonal panel: Estradiol Progesterone Testosterone FSH LH Prolactin Additionally you may want to include: 8 AM Free cortisol DHEA and DHEA-S
Guest guest
>>What if you are on the pill? Is it worth the time to test these things? << YES!!! All the hormones work in tandem. If your Estrogen is high, you will have to take alot more thyroid to feel normal. If your Progesterone is low you will be Estrogen Dominant now matter how much Estrogen you are putting out. If your DHEA drops too law it can signify adrenal fatigue. And all the symptoms of MENOPAUSE are so very close to hypo symptoms, how ya gonna tell? Yes if you can afford it at all DO get your female hormones tested as well. *Artistic Grooming * Hurricane, WV Old aunts used to come up to me at weddings, poking me in the ribs and cackling, telling me, " You're next. Guest guest
Tell him if he wants no more kids, then it's his duty to get fixed? lol. It's much easier on men, so he wouldn't have to have near as much done as you would, nor have near the complications. Unfortunately everybody I know whos' gone with a tubal ligation has ended up having a hysterectomy later, so I want no part of that. Guest guest
Thanks that's really helpful, my GP isn't allowed to do DHEA (tried before) and I always ask for a cortisol test, will remember the prolactin as hadn't thought of that and am going to try and push for aldesterone as well. The nurse is pretty good and will test for lots of things if allowed by the computer and asked so I may try for insulin receptor as well BBT's ? having a dim day Dawn > If you are still menstruating, serum hormone tests should be measured > on day 2 AND day 20 of your cycle. Guest guest
Well, we have one son who is six. I was on the pill before we had him, after I tried the shot (never again) and then went back on the pill. With me already having sex drive issues, I do not want to pull an ultimatum on him. I will figure out a kind way to get him to do it. It just might take me another month or two to convince him. I will tell him that if I can get my hormones in line it will help with my sex drive...... Guest guest
I had a tubal done my goodness over 20 years ago now. I still have all my parts, although the Iridologist also said that many tubals cause problems later. I breezed through menopause and to my knowledge I am not now having any problems in that area. What are their symptoms? Heavy menstrual flow? Cramps? Again as I said in my message of the other night after doing the things I mentioned there, those problems disappeared. LOL and I remembered another symptom that I had that fully disappeared . . . sinus trouble. Most of these things were related to a build up of crap in my system. When I did the necessary cleanses the related problems were eliminated. Sheila *********** REPLY SEPARATOR *********** Not sure on the length, but both my cousin's are the last person's I've known who had a tubal.....one's daughter just turned 12, & the other's son turned 12 last year when her's was done. They are strongly suggesting a hysterectomy for one now, but she's had problems for at p Sheila Bliesath StarGate Travel Phone: For more information on travel or becoming an agent info@...
