Guest guest
I know nothing at all about taking Licorice for adrenal support. I am not knowledgeable about adrenal support in particular as I have had anything from NO results from it to bad results from taking it. If you have had testing done (24 hour saliva for adrenal hormones) WAIT for the results to start anything. If not and you can't afford it 15 MG Armour 2 times a day should be the most you should start with as you are pretty much starting over. You have thrown your body into shock with the up & down meds and I imagine that is very hard on the adrenals by itself. You have some serious symptoms so really need the testing to know where you stand before doing much., but if it were me I would start Armour VERY slowly. Be consistent and try to get as much lab work as you can afford. *Artistic Grooming * Hurricane, WV Fat cat? Diabetes? Guest guest
I really appreciate you taking time to reply, Val. Sitting here was good because now I am caught up pretty much and Tish and others pretty much lean toward safer than sorry, too. I think Armour would be safe enough and it would have been a no brainer before some of the tests and symptoms started looking serious...Mabe the test results will be back soon. Ithink I ordered a good basic bunch to fill in the picture from the tests from 6 weeks ago. With antibodies we are just looking for ball parks references at this point, I imagine. I sure liked that three or four weeks that I was using the mixed bovine otc glandular. If I didn't know that there was real, substantial, hope of getting better than this, I can see how easy it is to just give up, though... I can wait a little more, well a tiny bit of progesterone should be ok... I really don't trust AMA docs much (not even ER docs) and so I think I'll crawl into bed and finish reading these awesome adrenal files I printed up. (I feel so proud that I'm getting better at using the computer and the files and signing in different ways to read my email; when I'm mentally bushed, focus and learning new tasks is overwhelming.) If I had realized that From Fatigued to Fantasitic was made by Enzymatic Therapy I would have snapped it right up. I like that company's Mega-Zyme, pancreatin. Their products are such excellent quality that the MDs have tried to muscle them out of the market. I can hang out a few more days, but I think I'll work on ording the Isocort, tomorrow just in case, to go with my little bottle of half-grain Armour. Thanks a bunch, Val!!! Guest guest
The lab work that is thrown off by antibodies is the thyroid labs only NOT adrenal tests. The adrenal tests are still accurate provided you use the saliva tests. Hang in there. *Artistic Grooming * Hurricane, WV Fat cat? Diabetes? Guest guest
Thank you, Val, (& Janie! & Kerry, & Cindi, & Tish, & " prr " ; Oh, Thanks to everybody!) I did send the 4x tubes Tues, overnight, to Washington. And I went ahead and had a Free T3, progesterone, Testosterone free/total, and an estradiol, even though it was six weeks later than the other thyroid tests (all but the T3), also. At least I'm dealing with a good doctor & nurse. I keep reading the adrenal files which I printed out. I just know I neeeeed the Armour and I need to learn how to do the adrenal support. I'm really trying to lie low, today, but I need to take my kiddo to her OT later. I want my brain back and I want my life back. At least I know what I'm dealing with even if the whole AMA is against dx & tx this. This list is very powerful and I'm very grateful. ....
