I hadn't thought too much about when my hair started thinning, but I just know

it did at some point years ago. I used to have a hairful of thick hair, then it

just began looking thinner. My beautician used something called Beautiful Body

I believe, and it came from the beauty supply house. It will make your hair

give the appearance of looking thicker. I have used it for years. It works

best when you put it in the palm of your hand, then spread it through with and

blow dry your hair. I believe mine would have looked awful if not for my buying

that and using it for many years.

My hairdresser noticed my hair as being a lot thinner than it used to be (I've

been going to her for at least 25 yrs), but we had no idea it was related to

thyroid back then. It's worth it to try out the beautiful body, and it was very

inexpensive.

Re: THE BACK OF YOUR HAIR--get your cameras

out

Saturday I had a break down over my hair; crying, balling and about to get

my husbands clippers out. We were getting ready for a wedding. I rolled

ALL of my hair in seven rollers. I really could have used five. Now my

hair has never been thick, but it is extremely thin now. I remember in my

horse show days braiding my hair, I thought it was thin then(I now think I

have really been hypo since childhood). My friend that I showed with has

really thick hair and I was so jealous. Anyhow, I unrolled my hair and

could do nothing with it. It is(was) one length, to my shoulder blades and

straight. The top couldn't be pulled back because it would make lines and

wouldn't lay flat. So I combed the curls all out. My husband said my hair

looks fine and always has, doesn't understand the problem. I explained

that the problem is I can't do anything with it. I just wear it up in a

hair clip all of the time. I told him I was going to finally do it, so

yesterday I did it. I cut it all off! Ok, I went somewhere and had it

done. She couldn't believe how thin and fine my hair is. I explained I

have a thyroid disease and this is a problem that can go with it. She said

I'll take ten years off you! So now it's cut and I went to Wal-Mart and

colored it too. My son doesn't like it (he is 6). My neighbors 17 year

old grandson loved it! Oh well....enough of my rambling. I'll try to up

load some photos later.
