Guest guest
Cortisol demands are almost double in the morning from what is needed the rest of the day. So, why not just give yourself some adrenal support in the morning? This might help you tolerate a little more thyroid and get rid of the palps. Also, it takes a long time for the adrenals to recover after starting thyroid therapy. You cannot raise thyroid easily untill the adrenals are ready and can handle it. This can take some time. The adrenals also will not ever get better if thyroid is not high enough. So, it's a lovely no win situation. http://thyroid.about.com/od/drdavidderry/l/bl11.htm All you can do here if you don't want adrenal support is to make thyroid dose raises very small and wait about 4 weeks between. For me, I could only make 1/8th grain raises at a time. It took me a very long time to get my dose up past 3 grains. With each tiny raise and weeks of waiting, the adrenals should also get a bit stronger. But, you have to go slow. Also, it's helpful for the adrenals to break up thyroid doses into more in a day. I take 3 doses a day, once every 8 hours. Tish
