Guest guest
Well now I'm confused. I went to see my doc who is a woman today. When I was checking in with the nurse, the nurse asked me what was wrong (I hate her nurse). I told her that I was here to talk to her about the pain and options from my fibro. My doc came in and she told me not to say anything about fibromyalgia to the nurses because they tend to roll their eyes about it. Now this is the same doc who diagnosed me, and I feel she really believes I have it, but why is she not spreading the word that this is real? Its pretty sad when Docs are afraid to say they believe in it. I'm really glad that she finally began to 'hear my pain' after all these years and address it like it is real. She also said she doesn't want to label me and have me stigmatized with something so controversial. hmmm Anyways, she said there are rheumatoid docs in wichita that handle fibro, but she hasn't had much luck with them, and she'd like for me to go to KC, but thats really far. She started me on elavil to take with my wellbutrin. Wants me to cut my work hours in half, get more sleep, but increase my exercise. We talked about having a gastric bypass which she absolutely won't discuss till we try other things. She wants me to try xenecal. My weight has just exploded over the last two years and I'm glad she's as concerned as I am especially now that I've stopped smoking.
